A beautiful red-sand beach reached by a long staircase, usually calmer than neighbouring Golden Bay. Great snorkeling around the headland and one of the island's best sunset spots. The stairs are long on the way back up, so it is not ideal for reduced mobility.

Malta's longest sandy beach, with shallow water that stays waist-deep far out. Very easy with children and for relaxed swimming, with every facility nearby. Expect crowds in peak season, and seaweed can appear depending on conditions.

A small sandy cove tucked below the cliffs near the Gozo ferry, with very clear water around the rocks. Lovely for snorkeling and quieter swims. The cove fills up fast on summer days and can be windy.

A natural limestone swimming platform with turquoise water near Marsaxlokk, popular with swimmers and cliff jumpers. Raw, beautiful and completely undeveloped. There are no facilities on site, so bring water, shade and suitable shoes.
